An opening video for Wondershare’s mid-year company meeting, designed to rally the team.
Moving in an uplifting, high-tech register, the piece responds to the momentum of the AI industry.
I developed the project end-to-end according to the company’s creative brief, shaping its narrative pacing, visual style, and sound design.
The video combines two visual sources: AI-generated video and archival industry footage.
For the AI generation, I built a structured workflow that began with still image generation. After locking down the aesthetic direction and composition, I used Midjourney to generate a still for each shot. Camera movement and rhythm were then matched to the cut, and the stills were brought into Runway to produce moving images. Since each Runway generation caps at five seconds, I extracted head and tail frames to extend single shots into longer sequences, then adjusted playback speed in Premiere Pro to land each beat.
Together, these generated sequences form the visual framework of the piece.
AI-Generated Footage
Within that framework, archival footage from the AI video-generation sector was embedded, covering recent developments from leading Chinese companies and major international AI products. This material was re-cut and treated with custom transitions and framing, arranged into a visual narrative of the industry’s trajectory.
Archival Industry Footage
Sound design layers a Suno-generated score as the foundation, with sourced effects mapped to on-screen movement to soften the inherent stiffness of AI-generated video and set the emotional tone for the meeting to follow.
